Windows could not start the WIndows Event Log service on Local Computer. <\/p>\n Error 4201: The instance name passed was not recognized as valid by a WMI data provider <\/p>\n \u8acb\u53c3\u8003\u4ee5\u4e0b\u7db2\u5740\uff1a<\/font> <\/p>\n http:\/\/www.symantec.com\/business\/support\/index?page=content&id=TECH205162<\/a> <\/p>\n Cause <\/p>\n Insufficient permissions to RTBACKUP folder that is use by Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) <\/p>\n Solution<\/font> <\/p>\n Set the permissions needed on the RTBACKUP sub-folder for WMI by following the steps listed below:<\/font> <\/p>\n 1. Re-start Windows in Safe Boot mode.<\/font> <\/p>\n 2. Use Windows Explorer to open the C:\\Windows\\System32\\LogFiles\\WMI sub-folder.<\/font> <\/p>\n 3. Right-click on the RtBackup sub-folder and choose Properties > Security > Edit<\/font> <\/p>\n 4. Click Add.<\/font> <\/p>\n 5. Type SYSTEM and press Enter.<\/font> <\/p>\n 6. Enable “Full control” Permission to “Allow” for the SYSTEM account.<\/font> <\/p>\n 7. Click OK, and then click Yes when asked for confirmation.<\/font> <\/p>\n 8.
