{"id":1164,"date":"2016-09-30T16:40:33","date_gmt":"2016-09-30T08:40:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w3c.weblink.com.tw\/si\/?p=1164"},"modified":"2016-09-30T16:40:34","modified_gmt":"2016-09-30T08:40:34","slug":"%e5%a6%82%e4%bd%95%e5%b0%87bios%e5%9b%9e%e5%be%a9%e5%8e%9f%e5%bb%a0%e8%a8%ad%e5%ae%9a","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/w3c.weblink.com.tw\/si\/?p=1164","title":{"rendered":"\u5982\u4f55\u5c07BIOS\u56de\u5fa9\u539f\u5ee0\u8a2d\u5b9a"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Issue Description<\/b> <\/p>\n<p>The customer made some settings in BIOS Memory RAS Configuration like Spare, Memory Mirroring, Memory Migration. <\/p>\n<p>He saved the settings, restart the equipment and after the restart the server didn&#8217;t start anymore, remains stuck before he can select F4 or ESC. <\/p>\n<p><b>Solution<\/b> <\/p>\n<p>Restoring the BIOS Factory Defaults <\/p>\n<p>There are two methods to restore the BIOS to factory defaults: <\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Using the BIOS interface. <\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Using command lines. <\/p>\n<p>Note: This operation has no adverse impact on the system. <\/p>\n<p><b>Procedure:<\/b> <\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Reset the BIOS factory defaults by using the BIOS interface: <\/p>\n<p>1. Press <b>F9<\/b>.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/w3c.weblink.com.tw\/si\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/09\/clip_image001.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"clip_image001\" style=\"border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px;border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image001\" src=\"http:\/\/w3c.weblink.com.tw\/si\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/09\/clip_image001_thumb.png\" width=\"244\" height=\"182\"><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>2. Select <b>Yes<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Reset BIOS factory defaults by using command line (CLI): <\/p>\n<p>1. Set the IP address and subnet mask of the PC, and ensure that the IP address of the PC is on the same network segment as the IP address of the server. <\/p>\n<p>2. Open <b>PuTTY.exe<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/w3c.weblink.com.tw\/si\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/09\/clip_image002.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"clip_image002\" style=\"border-top: 0px;border-right: 0px;border-bottom: 0px;border-left: 0px\" border=\"0\" alt=\"clip_image002\" src=\"http:\/\/w3c.weblink.com.tw\/si\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2016\/09\/clip_image002_thumb.png\" width=\"244\" height=\"235\"><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>3. Set login parameters. <\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Host Name (or IP address): Enter the BMC IP address of the server, for example, <b>192.168.1.102<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Port: <b>22<\/b>.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Connection type: <b>SSH<\/b>.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>\u00b7 Close window on exit: <b>Only on clean exit<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p>4. Click <b>Open<\/b>. <\/p>\n<p>5. Enter a user name and password. <\/p>\n<p>6. Enter the following command line to restore the BIOS factory defaults.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p><b>ipmcset -d clearcmos<\/b> <\/p>\n<p>The command output is similar to the following: <\/p>\n<p>WARING:The operation may have many adverse effects <\/p>\n<p>Do you want to continue?[Y\/N]: <\/p>\n<p>7.
